THE MAN AND LAND
Factory
This photographic project closes the trilogy of my study on man's relationship with the territory, a report that the man has lost some time. The evolution and history of man is linked to the land and its sacred and ancestral bond, lost to follow a new dominant logic of development and well-being: the industrialization. Rurality is abandoned and the land lost natural equilibrium established for thousands of years that has preserved until a few decades ago. The immense grassy fields of the plains have become the perimeters of what is new is born: the factory. Today our eyes rest on those fields, now covered with cement and the only thought is to remember a line from a poem of the poet Pier Paolo Pasolini.:
"The popular song"
Ah, we who live in one
generation every generation
lived here in these lands now
humiliated, we have no notion
true of those who participates in history
for oral, magical experience;
and he lives pure, beyond the memory
the generation in which the presence
of life is its peremptory life.
And if we turn to the past
which is our privilege, other streams
of the people here sing recovered
is our moto since the Christian
origins, but lags behind, still,
that song. He repeats itself.
In the evenings, but not torches globes
of light, and the periphery does not seem
other, no other new guys ...
