Let the fear go

When I explained to him that I wanted to express his story through a photograph, he went back to his pain and posed for me as I never thought he would. It seemed to me that he did it with such an easiness that now I wonder how someone that lost his entire family in that huge slaughter was able to show me his suffering in this way. I wonder if he was able to cope with his pain through facing it, uncovering it and then letting it go.
