Athlete Portrait

The athletes of Special Team swimming team and bowling team portraits during their daily training session. The team in an Italian sport team born in 1999 composed by athletes with mental disability (autism, down syndrome and so on..) being part of Special Olympics Italia. The team and the selected athletes will participate at next Special Olympics World International Games on 2018/2019 and in summer 2017 at next Italian Special Olympics Games (Olympics games for mental disability athletes). Currently athletes with down syndrome and mental disability cannot participate at Paralympics Games, as for Paralympics GamesRIO2016. 82/5000 the project was a finalist for the award photojournalistic Marco Pesaresi in SIfest 2016
