Water Protectors

This series of portraits are of "water protectors" who have traveled from their homeland to the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota to protest the construction the Dakota Access Pipeline, which is designed to go under the Missouri River, the source of water for the reservation. Thousands have amassed by the Missouri River and view DAPL and stayed for months hoping the "black snake' or pipeline would be stopped.
