La Bell Kreoll en Fuego

I feel lucky to have become a part of this group during my week with La Bell Kreoll. They welcomed me in like family and protected me, looked after me and shared their lives with me. All the members of group are like family, many of them are direct blood relation to one another from kids as young as five years old through grandparents who are strong and full of life. They are a volunteer group and practice because they love it. The grandmother of the current head of the group gave life to Haitian culture and tradition and kept it going through generations. I hope this series shows my connection with these special people, their connection with one another and their connection to their ancestors. They have a joy for life that I will always carry with me. Thank you.
