Mira 0-

An image of an entire human life. Mira is photographed once every year. First image I made shortly after her birth, next as one year old, - two years old etc. 2017 she was 12 years old. At this point (Feb 2017) the series thus consists of13 portraits. The intention is to continue to photograph Mira once every year until my own time is over, and then pass the project (camera) over to somebody younger who can continue to follow Mira for the rest of her life. There will be a point in time when Mira’s timeline is finished and the Mira series is complete. The series is related to my project GLOBALPHOTOPROJECT www.globalphotoproject.com but instead of depicting citizens through the aging process in different parts of the world, based on statistics this is the unique occation when I focus on one individual.
