Street Portraits; Santa Fe, NM, Plaza

I spent a couple of afternoons grabbing portraits of people active in the Santa Fe Plaza environment. I am a painter as well as a photographer. Composition is one of the few Gods I worship. Influences: A long relationship with surrealism, evolving more towards a very lean form of that mindset. Lartigue, Winogrand and more recently the stretched compositions of Arnold Newman ( a la the Stravinsky portraits ). I love David Lynch's work and enjoy the stills of hiis movies Painters, I prefer the thinking of Magritte over Dali and tend to respond to Edward Hopper as a surrealist rather than a regionalist. The magic of existance continually amazes me. Really nice theater where I go out grabing evidence of photons..............
