Hilda

Photographs in the series “Hilda” are a documentary display of day-to-day routine of authors grandmother. During this process these photographs were supplemented with different staged portraits who are much more precise and contain a dramaturgical feeling. Through the process of the series' evolution, photographs show a growing and picturesque relationship between a grandmother and her granddaughter, resulting in a venerable and subtle portrait of Hilda. Photographs oppose a stereotypical presentation of elderly and contradict associating older age with something negative, redundant, non-aesthetic or even disgraceful. Series 'Hilda' is still in progress.
