Music is very important in my life. I do a lot of concert photography and I got to a point where I was a bit tired of shooting well known artist, the famous, I figured everyone knew who they were and I was kinda losing interest. I was getting irritated by the industry always having you sign release forms for their artists or requiring you to show them the photos before releasing them. The final draw for me was when a punk band asked to see my photos and they picked which ones I could show. I said to myself, "this is not punk rock, this is not what it's all about". I asked myself "what about the people that are struggling and playing their music on the streets?" So I set out to find some of the more interesting and unique artists playing around Los Angeles, and I met John Morgan. He was playing on Sunset Blvd. in front of the Cineramadome in Hollywood, California. I have gotten to know him well and have documented him while traveling to other cities in California. Here are some of the moments i captured.
