It appears also that Bulgaria ranks second in the EU's share of the population that inhabits overcrowded homes with multiple households, often - from different generations who do not have their own rooms. Over 27 percent of the population lives in areas with high crime and vandalism. Own home does not bring happiness - said Professor Andrew Oswald of the University "Warwick" in the UK. He is the author of the theory that there is a direct correlation between the percentage of owning your own home and the level of unemployment. According to the National Statistical Institute average of 2.5 Bulgarians there is one apartment. On the contrary - in countries with the least property owners such as the Netherlands and Switzerland agencies renting apartments flourish and unemployment remains at an acceptable level. The idea is quite simple: where people are owners, they remain trapped in the property and almost reluctant to move elsewhere in search of a suitable job. And vice versa - where most people live on rent when losing their jobs, they are forced at all costs to find a new one in order to pay for housing. So they become more mobile.
