Sierra Leone Life: Expectancy
Project info

People in Sierra Leone have a life expectancy of 50 years compared to almost 79 years if you are living in the United States according to the World Health Organizations 2016 data. A lack of clean water, proper food resources, education about hygiene and an extreme shortage of medical facilities and trained medical personnel all contribute to the low life span. Sierra Leone has one of the highest child mortality rates in the world. More than one in ten kids die before they are 5 years old. Still, there is small progress. 10 years ago, they had a life expectancy of just under 43 years.
