NOTES on a VIOLIN

From the multimedia project, NOTES on a VIOLIN, which includes a short documentary film and still images. The project follows Darren Briggs, a violin teacher who wants to inspire a love of classical music and learning in anyone who is willing to listen. My mission in creating this project was to celebrate the abnormal in our every day normal lives. In Darren Briggs, I found a unique and independent spirit whose passion is contagious as well as deeply inspirational, urging us to look around and discover the wonders that may lie just outside our front doors. These portraits showcase the intimacy of Darren with his violin, of Darren with his students, and of the students with their newly discovered object of adoration, the violin.
