Prison Freedom

This collection of photos documents the prison life of some of the first prisoners in the USA to volunteer to enter the Carol S. Vance unit, an experimental prison unit established by Prison Fellowships new (1997) “Innerchange Freedom Initiative”. Politically, Then Governor, George W. Bush cleared the way. Gov. Bush fought off many who felt this violated the separation of Church and State and predicted would end in failure. Today there are two more very successful Christian prison units in Minnesota, giving hope to the hopeless and freedom to those in prison. Fewer repeat offenders, killing or raping others. Fewer criminals robbing banks or stealing cars. Less hopelessness.
