This is a series of images I began creating as a teenager and continued for several years into my late 20s. I began working as a stringer for a small newspaper at age 15, but soon understood the limits of newspapers to really show things from my own perspective. The personal point of view is not readily addressed by the mass media. So, I began to drift more into self assigned personal projects, and visual explorations. This is still some of my purest work, and is truest to my vision of America through my camera to see America for all it's contradictions, divisions, and identities. --- Jeremy Hogan
"Pulling together these images of teen parties, migrant laborers, drinking grandpa, etc. really creates a 1+1=3 situation.
It feels quotidian American and touches upon a lot of identity politics issues that are in an unfortunate swing these days." Justin Clifford Rhody
