An optical essay

"There are no facts, only interpretations." - Friedrich Nietzsche We only know our experience through what we think. But our experience is the only way for us to know the reality that surrounds us. Unknowingly we create different forms and shapes of seeing the universe. Probably the best example of differentiating in this manner is the fundamental axiom of our psychology: the construction of one's own reality. When I walk through the city, I love to read people by their words, activities and the nature of their thoughts. I love to talk to them to explore their own world. My series ''An optical essay" came as an inspiration from Nietzsche’s words, that we all have our own perspective and every moment has its own canvas to interpret. So, I want to stimulate viewers to think and to make their own interpretations as well about who and what we are and why we act the way we do. I have been working on this series based on a conceptual form of photography to portray the essence; metaphorically.
