First Comes Love: Portraits of Enduring LGBTQ Relationships

This project was begun before the marriage equality decisions in the USA in attempts to open hearts and minds about LGBTQ relationships. The portraits are presented in black & white to eliminate all connotations to rainbow flags, pride parades, and demonstrations and ask the view to look at the heart and soul of the couple. The photographs are exhibited with an accompanying story that take the viewer to a deeper level of understanding and hopefully acceptance. Changing the laws does not change people's minds. These portraits hope to do that.
