Between the Capybara and the Confusions: Where everyone takes sides

Studies on the region covered by Serra da Capivara (Capybara) and Serra das Confusões (Confusions), in the state of Piauí, show evidence of the human presence in Brazil for over 20 thousand years. Today, since those areas have been turned into Nationals Parks, their habitants coexist with two sides of a coin: On one hand the promotion of processes of participatory democracy, social policies and tourism valorization; on the other, with the daily life, in which the public and the private get mixed up. “Between the Capybara and the Confusions” is a portrait of the relations between man, his time and his space, with the overlap of different dimensions. Here, the man is the country man, time is the present, and space is the confusion in which everyone takes sides.
