Schreifels Cuba 2017

The images I have submitted were taken in Cuba. I've fallen in love with the country and its people. They're clever, warm, generous and vibrant, yet many have a fine layer of grime covering them that adds a richness and depth to who they are. While it was difficult to see the conditions in which they lived, they radiated love. I felt very fortunate to connect with them, hear their stories and photograph them.
