North of the South

The Top End is a considered a wild, and unusual place to the rest of Australia. Outside of the bubbles that are inner city Melbourne and Sydney, the myths of the Top End are mostly a hybrid of truth and fiction. People like to keep their distance, but are intrigued by the 'Never Never', and anywhere above the Tropic of Capricorn. It is tainted by the white settler mentality of the untameable other that is the Top End. An oddly recognisable town, but also foreign and exotic.
