The Familiar Unknown

My family is mysterious. They seldom share stories. Their past lives are mostly unknown to me. Coming to the U.S. for college created a physical distance between my family and me. Because of this separation, I realized that I never knew them that well. Through photography, I am beginning to understand who they are. These pictures are evidence of my disconnection with my family.
