The Art Fair

These are shots from a large London art fair. I love the colour, shapes and sheer variation of people, backgrounds and colour. There is also an interesting mixture of poor students, the very wealthy (often with overly-keen advisors) and the successful artists, including Turner winning artists. Then there is the social side with the society types being seen, where showing off taste and sagacity in art is a subtle competition and important for inclusion in certain social circles. There are undertones of tension on show whether in what people are wearing, how hard they are trying to understand the art or who they are talking to.
