The following photographs were taken in the years 2015 to 2017.
They are a representative sample of the part of my work which, as one may learn from the title, is set in between the subjects of portrait- and street photography.
Travelling is one of my biggest passions. I had the opportunity to not only visit but also live in various countries across Europe.
Wandering through the different cities the camera always accompanied me as an essential tool.
Although it took a bit of courage from my part to approach strangers, the search for interesting faces in the crowd today is one of my passions which I am following both during my travels as well as everyday life.
With my photographs I try to evoke curiosity about the stories behind them and the persons or situations they show.
As role models, I am inspired by, among others, name Robert Frank, whose photographs from 1950’s America my father used to show me when I was still a child, as well as Barbara Klemm, who, being a close friend of my family, has always been a good adviser to me, and finally Bruce Davidson, whose work, though I discovered it only a few years ago, I admire.
