I use photography as a tool to capture the intensity and obscurity of everyday experiences.
Body language, strangers, and scenarios intrigue me and most importantly how we relate to one another and how we interact in social spaces.
The more I observe the more I understand. By recording the world around me via my IPhone I am able to explore the perceptive phenomenology of movement in time as a simple bystander. The obscurity of the phone allows me to capture moments that are in some sense blank, neutral, empty, and therefore available for projection — the viewer’s and my own.
This awareness and the power of photography to capture time has created for me a deeper sense of perception and an acute awareness of space and time.
The concepts of my work stem from my desire to communicate beyond the limitations of traditional photography. For me I am blurring the time line of my narratives and showing the evolution of the here and now under cultural influence.
