When I moved to Tucson, I felt an immediate connection to the city. On its most basic level, the Doors of Tucson project began as a means of exploring and getting to know my home but as the years passed, the project developed a deeper meaning for me. The vibrancy and color of the series is an apt metaphor for the people of Tucson themselves. Every time I pick up my camera and explore a new part of the city, I feel connected to my community on a deeper level. None of these photographs are of my house, yet all feel like home.
