In the midst of the largest humanitarian crisis affecting Europe, Greece has been one of the main gates to the European “paradise”. Eidomeni in Northern Greece became the centre of perseverance and desperation for many thousands of refugees, who could not give up on their hope to cross the borders with FYROM, despite the fact that the latter had already been closed. Eidomeni remained for many months the gathering field, where thousands of tents accommodated life, dreams, hopes, fears, distress and anger for being refused the right to dignity and a better future. Life went on with all its daily routines and struggles, regardless of severe weather and poor living conditions, till the evacuation of the field in the summer of 2016, where dreams collapsed and hopes were forced to fade away..
