This work is all made entirely in-camera and on 4" x 5" film. I employ very long exposures of up to several hours, and add various sources and shapes of artificial light to the slow accumulation of ambient light. There is no post production which alters the image, and the truthful connectedness with temporal and geographic space imbues the photograph with a resonance that digital constructions do not possess. I have developed various techniques that I call 'process exposures', which I use to explore questions of personal psychology and the status of the liminal landscape.
