Ecuador's Beach Villages

This is a collection of photographs that I took during a 4 month period in coastal Ecuadorian villages such as Playas and Montanita. The stark, pastel colors along with the local people going about their slow paced lives stood out to me greatly. Quite the opposite of Los Angeles, where I currently call home. There is something fascinating and very special about the lives of rural versus urban peoples-- I hope to explore these divides within my photography. With a simple life comes less movement and sense of time, resulting in a much different reaction between humans and their environment. I hope you enjoy.
