BEFANGEN (Caged/Uneasy) is about the personal desire of braking free from social norms, cultural or social barriers or even evolutionary processes. Strong colors meet surrealistic abstracted metaphors of vague human feelings. There is no stringend storyline, no continious series. The installation pastes images in different sizes on the wall in to each other, on top of each other or next to each other. Some framed, some pasted wallpaper. They build bright disharmonies with neither a question nor an answer. With this very intuitive imagery I invite the viewer into my slightly melancholic wonderland, depicting the idea of freedom.
The "series" containes more than 50 images.
