Happiness is not always in the outright smile and gurgling laugh- sometimes it is in the steady breathing and quiet sipping of air, the feeling of being one with the ocean dipping and rolling around us. A first kiss. A winning goal.
Sometimes it’s in the in between, the just before, the just after. It is not always the now that everyone sees. Sometimes it is the now that everyone sees.
Sometimes it’s sheer abandon.
These are the moments that move me.
It is when we witness a sacred glint of happiness, a roaring moment of sheer joy or even a hand led trip into wonder, that I feel like we travel through pockets and pauses of delight, capturing the magic of happiness in the smallest of instants.
I connect to the people, to the energy that is always present around us and allow myself to be stirred by all these small temples and sanctuaries of joy coming to life, even if only for a few moments.
