The Edgelands

The Edgelands is an ongoing project to document the Celtic world using the Victorian wet-plate collodion process. With images made on mountain peaks and on precarious cliff edges, it pushes the physical and mental limits of the photographer who has to develop each image where it is taken. It presents a new approach to these landscapes, foregoing Victorian romanticism for a hard edged, stark and contemporary aesthetic approach.
