Negative Space
Negative Space is a project that deals with our sense of joy and awe. As humans we get a sense of divine inspiration or “awe” as we enter large spaces or view places from up high. Think Yosemite Valley, a large gothic cathedral or standing in an empty sports arena. These places I photograph are devoid of people, usually show large strips or bands of textured and colored buildings. Although abstracted, I want these images to show this connection to this awe and delight in these surprise places I have found.
