Where people gather street vendors also gather to sell things with their little stalls. They sell cotton candies, hot dogs, roast chicken skewers, hot fish curd skewers, pen cakes, fruit juice, children's toys, accessories, umbrellas, fake flowers, real flowers, cockroach poison, you name it. They lay out their goods as nicely as they can and wait for the customers. In winter period in below zero temperature, they work all day with a small heater. In summer time in over 30C of heat, they still work all day on the street with a small electric fan. The foods they sell are sometimes really good, sometimes not so good but they smell always great so they make you hungry when you pass by. Toy sellers try to catch children's attention. Some sellers are shout out loud to attract people. They only take cash, no credit cards. What they sell are pretty cheap and you would not expect too much for that money. In some places selling is prohibited so when authorities approach sellers have to pack up their stuff quickly and run. Most of street sellers are friendly. They know how to handle people.
