Tokyo taxi drivers

The greater Tokyo area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. Paradoxically you can never feel as lonely as in the Japanese capital. With this project I tried to reconnect the isolated individuals. The dimensions of each original photograph of these Tokyo taxi drivers are 3631 x 3631 pixels = 13 185 502 pixels. This equals the number of people living in the prefecture of Tokyo (as of August 1, 2011). I highlighted the idea by deliberately creating block boundary artifacts.
