I like islands, and Sardinia is one I am very fond of, having spent there much time during the summers of the last 12 years. This is part of a project on the island, composed by a few series on different specific aspects, each reflecting my intimate experience of this place. This gallery is focused on what I feel as its “tough” side, which is the consequence of its warm, dry and windy climate. I like to trek and capture the hard landscape I walk through. In this case the choice of high contrast black and white is to stress the structure and texture of rocks and trees as much as possible, not being distracted by their otherwise beautiful colors.
