I love Henri Cartier Bresson's definition of the photographic phenomenon he termed the Decisive Moment. A definition found in the preface of Bresson's book "Images on the Run" reads as follows- "To me, photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event as well as of a precise organization of forms which give that event its proper expression." I use his definition as a guide for my work.
