Last Corner Before the Wall

This ongoing project was shot so far in Tijuana, Mexicocity and Real de Catorce between 2012 and 2016. I looked for places where people with heavy stories have been stuck symbolically or literally. I see these places as »last corners of Latin America« where migration from the south towards the US border is a constant phenomena. Migrating people spend months or even years in precarious circumstances -many times on the street -which often takes a toll on their mental and physical state. However, while investigating emotionally saturated urban places that emanate social injustice I didn'nt want to / I coudn't deny the innate beauty of things.
