Summer Camp

Things have changed significantly since we were kids. It wasn’t really that long ago, but when we grew up, we spent much of our free time being outside and creatively making our own fun. In this day of electronic overload, of constantly being connected and “on”, it seems like the days of simpler fun and playing outside are past. We wanted to find a place that kids could go today and disconnect from electronics and reconnect with the outdoors and with others, a place where they could actually enjoy themselves without needing to be connected to a cell phone, where they could just be kids. We had such incredible experiences at summer camp as kids – we loved the freedom that we felt, the opportunities to do things we never got to do, the friends we made, and knew camp would be the perfect place to capture these feelings today. The images in this sequence show a simpler life, with days filled to the brim with fun outdoor activities, with kids happily leaving the devices behind and just enjoying each day.
