The suspension of the Partnership Agreement between Ukraine and the EU was met by demonstrations calling the decision a return to the Russian fold. The conflicts quickly turned bloody and there is no clear end in sight. While the ruling party and opposition have been unable to come to an agreement, the clash between nationalists and protestors with the police was reignited last night. The Interior ministry has made a special statement that "despite prolonged negotiations between the opposition and the authorities, as well as preliminary truce agreements, some radical groups beyond the protest leaders’ control have resumed attempts to provoke police into using force". Fighting resumed last night with nearly four thousand protestors returning to central Kiev to pit barricades, stones, and explosives against police forces.
