These photos are an excerpt of an ongoing series of photos. This work is guided by the reflexion of facades on the surface of a canal. On certain pictures there are the silhouettes of pedestrians. What interests me is, caused by the pictorial aspects, the water which turns into ink or paint and the three-dimensional look, that one doesn't recognize it's a reflection unless one pays close attention and comes closer. This effect can only be achieved if particular conditions are given: the moment has to be precisely chosen regarding light, time and the fitting wind force; neither too much, nor not enough. Reality has become a mental, emotional landscape with more or less recognisable human beings, showing up or fading away in the world's and memory's theatre.
