Walking through the streets, I find myself imagining that the people I see around me are somehow connected, as if all characters in a film, their seemingly mundane daily actions actually part of a far more sinister interwoven plot. Whilst observing them through my camera lens, I fantasize about what they're doing: the woman cupping her cell phone becomes a secret agent whispering an encrypted code into her receiver; two gentlemen on a subway platform are actually awaiting a final showdown.
With the click of my camera's shutter I am trying to transcribe this imagined reality. I am rendering the singular moment, transfixed in space, at which the characters most seem to be acting out my scene.
The goal of my photographic work is to serve as a bridge between the real street scene and the imagined storyline in my head.
