New York portraits

I took the portraits during the time I spent in New York -in the autumn of 2013. One of my favourite places to photograph was the High Line. It has a very relaxing atmosphere. I like to stroll around early in the evening, just before sunset. It is very popular; people use to come for a walk after work to escape from the stress of the city. It is very peaceful in one hand but you find yourself in the middle of the Meatpacking district known for the high-end boutiques, restaurants and nightclubs. The Smorgasburg is a food market taking place every Saturday on the Williamsburg water front at East River State Park. Vendors sell handmade food from tidy stalls. People eat standing up, at one of a few tables or by the park next to the market. While eating you can enjoy outstanding views of the Manhattan skyline just by the river.
