Memory and feeling.

This series of photographs comes from a recent experience when I looked at an image and realized I was experiencing not just a memory of the moment, but an actual feeling from the moment. My photography has been increasingly drawn towards images that invoke more of a feeling than of a recorded observation, a moment that in its way is not literal, images, that when reflected on, bring a feeling to the viewer of perhaps nostalgia or fear, something lurking in the shadows or a long forgotten disappointment, they are not unreal images, but in their way they are not real either. They may not make sense immediately to the viewer but looked at closely may trigger a memory of a feeling.
