Crappy Negatives

The Crappy Negatives series utilizes dirty, scratched, and neglected film, and a cheap lo res scanner to set the motif for creative resurrection of this decades old B&W archive. With extensive hand correction and careful control of tonality to stretch the capacities of an archival pigment printer, pushing pixels here can feel a bit like painting Mudhead portraits on a Provincetown beach early in the 20th Century.
