Provenance

Provenance depicts a psychological and physical journey; the metamorphosis of a human figure in the landscape, releasing the conditioning of society and reverting to a feral, animalistic, natural self. This series creates a commentary on man’s relationship, or lack thereof, with nature and questions man’s natural role within the world. The inspiration for this project is derived from transcendentalist philosophy and literature and personal experiences. Through this project I hope to better understand my own significant and complex relationship with nature and represent man’s inherent connection to the landscape.
