The Mura of Igapó-Açu river

A small portion of the Mura, an indigenous group from the Brazilian Amazon, occupies the Igapó-Açu river banks in small communities. Understanding the world as a dangerous place and made up of unknown agencies, maintains a great concern regarding the unknown. This series deals with its daily life, subsistence activities and ceremonies that create the community as a good place to live. The scenes of intimacy recorded here are part of the period in which I lived with them and under their customs.
