Bullets

At the core of this series is a desire to respond to the fact that there are enough guns in America to arm every man, woman, and child in the country. Each image depicts a bullet collected from a local gun range. The bullets, sculpted by impact with a ballistic steel wall, take on dramatic new forms. The contorted shapes speak to the inherent violence in shooting and the transformation of each fired bullet from a sleek projectile into a twisted shard of lead. The unique forms reference the individual lives destroyed by gun violence.
