I feel inspired by humans and by everything we’ve been creating around us. I feel inspired by those tools that help us create other tools, by those spaces where we stand and live; by the way we behave towards each other and towards ourselves; I feel inspired by how we are controlled by rectangular pieces of papers and rounded metal coins, by the way money rule our lives. All of this stems from colors and shapes. My creative process stems from colors and shapes. All our world is build upon colors enclosed into shapes. These shapes and colors bear meaning: think of flags, food, traffic lights, clothes…
Human eyes see in color. Through them, we understand reality by interpreting the way light comes down on every object, material, plant, or being. This process alone is something incredibly inspiring for me.
Colors were there since the very beginning. They helped evolution by making us able to identify, classify, connecting with our emotions. In every of the innumerables cultures here on the Earth colors stand for a diverse feeling, meaning, emotion, pride, memory, habit. Still, they physically are the same to our eyes. The only thing that changes is the visual code we use to understand them.
For me taking a photograph is like painting a picture. It is about conveying within this four lines the exact quantity of shapes, colors, and textures.
