Struggle, emotion, spirit, soul, growth, grit and blossoming are common ideas portrayed in Ann Giordano's work. Since 2006 she has explored these concepts in combination with survival, change, decay and death using plant imagery and the photographic contact print process in a continuing series, In My Courtyard.
