even more wounded, even more healed
Project info

This body of work represents an ongoing discovery of personal identity using Photographic Therapy, pioneered by the late Jo Spence. I am intrigued by the psychology of how identity is formed in the early years and have taken my camera back to my family home.
Analysing theories on child psychology and using the space I grew up in to reflect on memories, with each visit the grip the space has over me becomes weaker and my individual identity stronger.
This continuing body of work represents my progress to date and was shown at my MA Fine Art Photography exhibition at Nottingham Trent University. I also exhibited at Free Range in June this year and received the WEX MA Award.
My motivation for sharing this personal journey is to promote the benefits of the therapeutic use of Photography as a tool for wellbeing.
