I work in a very minimalistic way that I believe, shows the subject even better when it’s included in its environment. Like others, I claim the conceptualization of wildlife photography, and I don’t want my pictures to show, I want them to suggest, I want the spectator to feel, not just to consume the picture like any other good.
I work both in bright and dark ways, and my style is close to monochrome, with no or very few colors, ultimate form of minimalism. The more I grow up, the more I am attracted by the deeply dark images, where subjects almost disappear; I like to play with dark shades like painters, such as Pierre Soulages, and I am actually mainly inspired by other artists: painters, musicians, street photographers… I believe that an art can truly progress and get better by learning from others, by making the difference meet. Rembrandt, Cartier Bresson, or JS Bach as a consequence, had a very strong influence on the way I see the world through my camera.
